Thus new BYG slogan stands for "Broaden Your Glow". In the recent seminar that I attended, Josh McDowell said, "Memory is what we can leave behind and when we create memory, we create a bridge to relationship"
Truly good memory of the camp will spur us in our glow for God in knowing that our youth ministry is extended beyond the wall of our church. Youths from the school ministry [BB & GB] that you have known, roughing it out together, fun together, laughing together and performing together will be a stepping stone for you and me in the coming year fill with excitement, challenges and fulfilling ministry.
So, let's not stopped building friendship after the camp but let's make every effort in contacting them, build bridges with them by actively inviting them to our church youth activities and "Youth connect Youth" and You are the point of connection.
Let's look forward in the coming year and pray that our Almighty God will bless us and enlarge our border. When changes come, it is accompanied by fear, uncertainties and doubts. Fear because we do not know what it is involved, Uncertainties because we do not know what is the future before us and Doubts because we do not know what it will becomes. Changes either break us or it can strengthen us.
How we view toward it will make a difference in our decision, our plan and our life. Most important of all, who we place our trust on the changes. We need to place it all in the Unchanging God whom we believe for He is the same yesterday, today and forever. And what changes will become is what differences you will make in the ministry and is about You and Me.[People. People People] God did not use things to fulfill His commission but uses His people to achieve His mission.
YOU are the changes to the ministry. "Break It or Strengthen It"... the choice is yours! As one of the verse in Hosea 10:12 said, "Break new ground. Plant righteousness and harvest the fruit that your loyalty will produce for Me. It's time to seek the Lord when He comes, He will rain righteousness on you."
So, let's "Gear to the time, Anchor to the ROCK" and "Youth connect Youth"

p/s: Captain or Capstan's ball ?? There are various ways. Firstly, when we have come utterly to the end of our own strength. If you say that's not for me, I'm doing fine, then God's time apparently hasn't come for you. We don't think that we are utterly helpless. When we see an opportunity, we nudge the arms of providence, to advance ourselves the slightest bit, isn't it? That isn't a bad thing, but God doesn't want us to exalt this way.
Another sign is that when He does His work utterly outside ourselves. Who would have thought that God will give the Pharoah a dream, so Joseph can interpret it. What has Joseph got to do with his dream, you may ask? Absolutely nothing! What happened was distinctively detached from anything that was apparently connected to Joseph. Don't we feel it this way, from out of nowhere, God gave us something that works out His miracles that we don't even dare to fathom. God's time has arrived when a phenomenon appears for which there is no natural explanation.
When has God's time come? When all human resources fail. When has God's time come? When the wisdom of men comes to nothing. When has God's time come? When something appears for which there is no natural explanation. When all explanations fail, God's time has come. You dig that?

sOcCeR? wHy nOt cAptAiN's bAll?

This is cool! A Youth Connect blog(why didnt i think of that?)! Considering the easy availability of the WWW (World Wide Web) and internet access, this is one of the best media to know each other better. This is a place where we could share our struggles, joys and our two pennies worth.

This month is truly a month of commencement - the end of something, but the start of something new. Despite the news of Ps Gordon leaving the church and the immense changes that may have to take place, where people have to learn to adapt to new circumstances, I trust that these changes have a purpose that God wants us to learn. How many of us are able to say we're prepared for the change, and how many of us aren't? It certainly won't be easy for me, but i believe it is through these changes and how we've overcome it that builds us up and makes us a better person.

I've been a part of YMM's youth ministry(Youth Ignite) for close to 5 years now and i could proudly say it has played a major role in my life as i grew up in the ministry. Now that James has taken the helm, Mike and Stan leading the way too, i realli look forward the growth of Youth Ignite in the years to come. I believe God has a great plan prepared for us. Just as James told a few of us, "It's either we take it with fear and trembling, or we rise up to the occasion." Are we ready to rise up to the occasion? Are we ready to take up the challenges? I am. Come what may.

PS: How about captain's ball instead of soccer now, Stan?

Constantly Changing!

Yes, times they fly past you without even an apology!
